Our coaches follow the Ideal Protein method. It was developed over 30 years ago and uses a modified ketogenic regimen to help you shed your initial weight while empowering you with the knowledge you’ll need to develop better living habits and make smarter eating choices.
Ideal Protein is a three-phase program:
Weight loss. You start by losing the weight with a modified ketogenic diet. Keto usually involves not providing your body with enough carbs to burn for energy so that it starts instead burning through its fat stores. The Ideal Protein protocol teaches you to use high quality protein products to support muscle mass. You work one-on-one with a trained coach to follow a careful protocol to make sure you don’t lose muscle – which is a very common but often ignored consequence of many diet programs. And without adequate muscle, you will have a reduced ability to burn calories post diet.
Stabilization. Once you have lost the weight, your body will fight to regain it. This is where your coach will help you learn to adjust your intake of protein/fat/carbs to effectively manage hunger and maintain your weight loss.
Maintenance. You’ll continue to have regular check ins with your coach as you reset how you live to maintain a full and healthy lifestyle.
